How to size your Google Ads budget in India - validation, growth, scale and aggressive tiers with the math that decides each one.
How much should I budget for Google Ads in India?
Most Indian businesses fit one of four tiers: Validation (₹10-25K/mo) to test offer and tracking, Growth (₹25-75K/mo) to stabilise CPL, Scale (₹75K-3L/mo) for multi-campaign brands, and Aggressive (₹3L+/mo) for category leaders. The right number = target leads × target CPL, plus a 20-30% testing buffer.
The budget formula
Monthly ad spend = (target leads × target CPL) × 1.25
Example: 60 leads/month × ₹600 CPL × 1.25 buffer = ₹45,000/month ad spend. Cross-check that target CPL against your industry's CPC × landing page conversion rate. If the math doesn't work, fix the offer or the landing page first - not the budget.
